Debit Cards

New & Improved Debit Cards are Coming Soon!

Farmers Trust & Savings Bank is always looking for ways to improve how we serve our customers. That’s why we will be switching to NEW debit cards on Monday, April 3rd, 2023, giving you more convenient card options.

Here’s what you have to look forward to:

  • A new Mastercard Debit Card, with contactless/tap and go functionality
  • Card control features in Online Banking, including card limits and “on/off” functionality
  • Ability to set travel notices
  • Personalized debit card alert comminutions

What do these changes mean for you?

You will be receiving a new FTSB Debit Card in the mail prior to April 3rd. Beginning Monday, April 3rd you can activate your new card and select a PIN by calling 877-965-3344. Please continue to use your current FTSB debit card through Sunday, April 2nd. After this date, your old card will no longer be active; please dispose of it appropriately.

Reoccurring Payments

Please be aware that any reoccuring payments you have set up with your current card number will need to be updated to your new contactless card number that you will activate on Monday, April 3rd.

Debit Card Access in Online Banking

On Monday, April 3rd you will begin to see additional Debit Card features in Online Banking. You will have the ability to activate your new card, turn it on and off, set up alerts and more. This feature will replace the Brella application by Shazam.

ATMs

All FTSB ATMs will be down temporarily on Monday, April 3rd. We anticipate this being a brief outage, and all ATMs will be back up and running by the end of day on Monday, April 3rd. FTSB will continue to offer free, no-charge ATMs at our offices in Buffalo Center, Britt, Lake Mills and Bricelyn. However, be aware that ATMs not owned by FTSB may charge fees.


 

Contactless Card Benefits

Where can I use contactless cards? 

You can use a contactless card anywhere that accepts debit and credit cards. If the register isn’t contactless-enabled, you can still swipe or insert your card as you have done before. If the contactless technology is supported (look for three curved lines), simply tap the reader.

Are contactless cards secure?

Yes, paying contactless has a high level of protection. When your card is used in a contactless environment, a unique code is created and changed each time you use your card.

Can I use my contactless card for online or over-the-phone purchases?

Yes, you can use this card the same way you have used your previous debit cards.

How do I pay with a Contactless Card?

  1. Find the Contactless symbol. If the store or reader doesn’t have one, simply swipe or insert your card.
  2. Tap to Pay. Simply place your card on the contactless reader to pay quickly and easily.
  3. You’re all set! Your secure payment is complete in seconds.
